Hartville’s Former Big Lots Space Listed as Leased—but Who’s Moving In?
There’s a new clue for anyone wondering what will take over the former Big Lots space in Hartville: the leasing broker’s posted site plan labels it “LEASED.”

The space is in Edison Park Shopping Center, the Marc’s plaza on West Maple Street. While the label gives residents something to talk about, the plan leaves the biggest question unanswered: Who is moving in?
What the Leasing Plan Shows
Cohen Commercial Group’s site plan identifies Unit 16—the former Big Lots space—as a 30,292-square-foot location and marks it “LEASED.”
The broker’s property overview also advertises smaller spaces ranging from 910 to 4,000 square feet as available in the shopping center.
There is an important detail, though: the posted site plan does not show a visible revision date. That means it doesn’t establish when the lease was signed or when the listing was updated.
Is Ollie’s Coming to Hartville?
Ollie’s has been mentioned in local speculation about the former Big Lots location. However, I have not verified that Ollie’s is the tenant, and the broker’s site plan does not identify the incoming business.
For now, the information supports a specific update: the former Big Lots space is marked as leased in the broker’s posted materials. It does not confirm a store name, construction schedule, or opening date.
What Comes Next?
Confirmation from the leasing broker, property owner, or incoming business would help answer the questions residents are likely to have: Will one retailer occupy the entire space? Will renovations be needed? And when might the doors open?
A roughly 30,000-square-foot storefront represents a sizable space in an established Hartville shopping center. Whatever comes next could give residents another reason to stop and shop along West Maple Street.
