What Happened to Pump It Up Hartville? Equipment Goes Up for Auction

If you’ve been following my local updates, you may remember that I recently shared the news that Pump It Up in Hartville was closing.

Now there’s another update on the longtime kids’ party and play destination: equipment from the Hartville location was put up for online auction.

Pump It Up Equipment Hits the Auction Block

An online KIKO auction included a variety of items from the former Pump It Up location, including inflatable attractions, obstacle courses, slides, air hockey tables, picnic tables and other equipment used by the business.

And these weren’t exactly your average garage-sale finds.

Among the equipment were some seriously large inflatables and obstacle courses — the kind of items that could potentially find a second life with an event company, church, school, recreation business or another family entertainment venue.

Or, of course, with someone who has always looked at their backyard and thought, “You know what this needs? A 35-foot inflatable obstacle course.” 😂

The online auction was scheduled to close September 14.

The End of a Familiar Hartville Business

For local families, the closure of Pump It Up marked the end of a familiar place for birthday parties, play dates and indoor activities.

The auction is another sign of that transition as the equipment that once filled the Hartville facility moves on to new owners and potentially new uses.

It will be interesting to see what eventually happens with the former Pump It Up space — and whether another business ultimately takes its place.
